Yunyi Zhang is a Chinese animator based in New York and Los Angeles. He enjoys telling stories with different art mediums and creates characters who can represent the ordinary individuals in our daily life. Sci-Fi is a major element in his films.
Double majoring in film & TV and computer science at NYU, Yunyi has already created several animated shorts with his creative and technical skills. His film, The Egg, wins 2022 James Richard Janowsky Award and is officially selected for multiple Internationally recognized film festival, such as the 52nd ASIFA-East Animation Festival. His upcoming project, Piggy, wins 2022 Tisch School of the Arts family grant.
